
The Sansthan was established in 15th October, 1970 as an autonomous organisation registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Act XXI of 1860) for the development and promotion of Sanskrit all over the country. It is fully funded by Government of India. It functions as an apex body for propagation and development of Sanskrit and assists the Ministry of Human Resource Development in formulating and implementing various plans and schemes for the development of Sanskrit studies. It has assumed the role of a nodal body for the effective implementation of various recommendations made by the Sanskrit Commission set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Education in 1956 to consider the propagation and development of Sanskrit language and education in all its aspects.

Eligibility Criteria
- For Combined Shiksha Shastri (B. Ed.) Entrance Test (CSSET) :
OR
(ii) Candidate pass in two year Shastri/ B. A. (Skt.)/ or equivalent with 50% marks.
(iii) Candidate pass in one year Bridge Course/ Sets OR
(iv) One Year of Acharya/ M. A. (Skt.) or equivalent.
(v) Candidate pass in Acharya/ M. A. (Skt.) or equivalent.
(vi) Those who are appearing for qualifying Examination can also apply.
- For Combined Shikshacharya (M. Ed.) Entrance Test (CSAET) :
(ii) Those who are appearing for qualifying Examination can also apply.
Age Limit
- Minimum age should be 20 Years as on 01 October 2014 for Combined Shiksha Shastri (B. Ed.) Entrance Test (CSSET).
- Minimum age should be 23 Years as on 01 October 2014 for Combined Shikshacharya (M. Ed.) Entrance Test (CSAET).
On cash payment of Rs. 600/- or submitting crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 600/- or Rs. 650/- by post by sending a request in any of the following places. All Demand Drafts should be favour of “Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi” of any nationalised bank payable at New Delhi.
How to Apply
- Application form can also be downloaded from the website www.sanskrit.nic.in and sent along with the Demand Draft of Rs. 600/-.
- All the duly filled in applications along with necessary enclosures should be sent to the Controller of Examination, Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University) 56 – 57, Institutional Area, D – Block, Janakpuri, New Delhi – 110 058 latest by 10 March 2014 only by Registered Post/ Speed Post/ By Hand.

The candidates selection will be based on eligibility criteria.
